Happy Friday everyone! Johnathon is back from his trip to Honolulu today, and Hadley and I could not be more excited! As usual I am linking up with Andrea, Erika, and Narci for some Friday Favorites!
ONE
Ha! This one made me LOL in a major way. With Johnathon being gone this week, it meant I was on single parent duty, and ladies...it was glamorous. My nights usually ended with me swapping out my yoga pants for pajama pants, and binge watching Monster Fish on Netflix until 10pm and not a second later. Be jealous.

My sister and I right after I got my hair done |
When we were back in the states in October, I got Balayage highlights put in my hair and I loved it! It was more natural looking than Ombre color, and I thought it was a nice way to lighten up my hair without looking super highlighted. Sadly there isn't anyone on Kwaj who can do that type of coloring, so now my hair is dark again with blonde ends! Yikes! I need to get my hair done in a bad way. Hopefully I will be back in the states soon, and I'm thinking about something like this...
THREE
This girl. Somebody is getting too big and brave, and mommy can't handle it! This girl climbs the playscape by herself and goes down the slide like its no big deal! Next she's gonna walk into Kindergarten and not want me to go with her!!! Somebody hold me. Hadley wanted to show off her slide skills for me the other night, so here you go...my big 10 1 year old, rocking the slide!
FOUR
Tuscany Poppy Pajamas |
I did a blog post yesterday on shopping for little girl clothes, and my friend Leigh commented on my Facebook that I should check out the brand, Tea. I hopped onto their website, and oh my cuteness! The pajamas were definitely my favorite, but they had such cute stuff, and per Leigh, they have deals on Zulily often! Win!
Bel Paese Baby Dress |
Tre Gusti Graphic Tee |
FIVE
I discovered, I Breathe I'm Hungry, when I was searching for low carb recipes that my husband wouldn't immediately reject. I saw the name of the website, and thought it was funny, so I gave the General Tso's Meatball recipe a try. Deliciousness. I tinkered the original recipe a little bit by adding a jalapeno to the meatballs for some extra flavor and spice, and threw in a little bit of Thai Sweet Chili Sauce to the sauce in the recipe. It makes it not as good for you, but...baby steps. Johnathon loves them and eats them over rice, and I make some cauliflower rice for myself. They are so good, and I find them to be weight loss friendly as well! :)
Hope everyone has a fun weekend in store! We are excited to have Johnathon back, and plan on logging lots of family time this weekend!
Haha, I love that first graphic. Nate laughed at me the last time we went camping because I literally had a bag of medicine (thyroid, vitamin d, prenatals, etc). What is Monster Fish? I am going to have to look that up. She’s so cute on the slide. And so brave….going down head first!
ReplyDeleteHahaha someone has to be the prepared one, right?! So I'm probably the only girl in the world who watches Monster Fish, but I find it so horrifying and fascinating that I can't look away! It's this guy who travels all over the world and catches GIGANTIC fresh water fish (catfish, sturgeon, etc. Swimming in rivers with big fish freaks me out, but apparently watching them is addicting for me! lol
