Happy Friday everyone! We made it through another week which means it's time for me to link up with Andrea, Erika, and Narci for some Friday Favorites!

Big Heart Dress / GAP |
Is it just me or does Valentine's Day seem to get the short end of the stick as far as holidays go? It's like we use up all our enthusiasm for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas then have nothing left. And let's be honest, most parents hate Valentine's Day because it means their kids THEY have to get a million Valentine's ready for everyone in their kid's class. You know it's true. Luckily, Valentine's Day totally wins in at least one department...kids clothes! Carter's, Gymboree, and Old Navy all have super cute Valentine's day clothes for the littles, but Baby Gap had my favorite Valentine's options for boys and girls! Plus, almost all the following are on sale...BONUS:
Heart Sweater Dress |
Stripe Bow Fit & Flare Dress |
Multi-Heart Sleep Set |
Nep Baseball Henley |
2-in-1 Love Graphic Tee |
Boys Striped Cable Sweater |

These three cuties have a birthday party this weekend!! Hadley, Aksel, and Maya were all born in February so we decided instead of taking up the whole month with three different 1st birthday parties, it would be easier for everyone to have one, joint party! I loved the Pancakes and Pajamas themed party that Amber Massey threw for her little girls, and Lindsey and Sarah were on board with a modified version of the theme (we are keeping the party pretty low key, and more unisex for Aksel!). I can't wait to show y'all pictures next week!
THREE
A few weeks ago, I ordered this top from Nordstroms, and had high hopes for it. I finally got it in the mail this week, and I'm loving it! It's thicker material than some of my other Nordstroms tunic tops, the V-neck isn't too deep so I don't have to wear a shirt underneath, and it's plenty long enough to wear with leggings or tuck in. It's light weight enough to wear out here on Kwaj, but would make a great transitional top for Spring back stateside. The best part?! Selected colors are on sale now too!
For size reference I thought the shirt ran a little large. I normally wear a 4/6 or medium, but went with a small and that fit perfect:

For the record...I felt all kinds of silly having Johnathon take my fancy fashion picture in our yard with people watching and the baby and dog at my feet. #professionalfashionblogger #exceptnot |

The Super Bowl is this weekend, and while I love me some football, let's be honest...I'm in it for the commercials and the dips! If I want to have a "cheat day" I would totally splurge on chips and dip over dessert any day. With that said, I feel like Super Bowl Parties always have the standard chips and queso, buffalo chicken dip, guacamole. Nothing wrong with that...I'm a big fan! But if you're looking to bring something a little different to your Super Bowl party I have two words for you...DRAGON. DIP. My good friend Shelbi introduced our group of friends to the dragon dip and I don't think our appetizer parties have ever been the same! She got this recipe from a friend back in Alabama, so this is one of those great recipes that gets passed around because every party you take it to people ask for the recipe! Enjoy!
***** Dragon Dip *****
8oz block of cream cheese
Toasted Sesame seeds (You can buy toasted sesame seed or roast them in oven for a few min. on 350 until brown.)
Soy sauce
Wasabi Sauce (I mix mayo and wasabi together!)
Corn Relish (In the states you can find this in the pickle section, if not I use sweet pickle relish and Mexican corn: mix together.)
Banana Peppers
Green onions (chopped)
Pickled ginger (This is not sold here on kwaj, If you can get it, it is wonderful!)
Wasabi Paste
Crackers (Triscuit)
Decorate the Dragon however you want! I roll the cream cheese in the toasted sesame seeds and then pour soy sauce on top then spread the wasabi sauce on. The rest is up to you on how you want it!
