Friday Favorites


I don't know about y'all, but this short week has FLOWN by! I can't believe Friday is already here which means I'm linking up with Andrea, Erika, and Narci for some Friday Favorites!


ONE







I first found out about Curly Girl Designs in college when I stopped into this little hardware store by my parents house that also sells cute greeting cards. I thought they were creative and so cute, and I love giving them for birthdays or just for fun! I looked into ordering some for a few friends birthdays that are coming up, and discovered that they have WAY more than just cards. They have all sorts of wall decor, pillows, office supplies, and the cutest coffee mugs on the planet!! I love a cute coffee mug, and I thought that cowgirl one in the picture above needs a home next to my Keurig! I also want that mermaid wall print in Hadley's future big girl room that I'm already planning! (Surely I'm not the only one that likes to envision future room designs way ahead of time??) lol


TWO




Uncle Jeff is coming to visit!!! Johnathon's best friend Jeff is coming tomorrow and staying for a whole week and we could not be more excited! Our little island is pretty remote and it takes a lot to get out here, so it's a big deal whenever visitors from the mainland make it all the way to our tiny island! We have so many fun things planned for next week, and we are so excited that Jeff gets to come out and experience Kwaj with us!


THREE




I've had a Nordstroms gift card from my in-laws that has been burning a hole in my pocket since Christmas. A lot of clothes and sizes were kind of picked over after Christmas, so I was waiting to find just the right thing to spend my card on. I've heard really good things about these Pleione tops. I have several Lush tops that are similar, but I liked the neckline on the Pleione top a little more so I bit the bullet and ordered one! It's always a gamble ordering online...I'm always more of an in person shopper..but I'm really excited for this one to get here because I think I'm gonna love it!


FOUR




Now that Hadley is so close to turning one, I've been trying to increase how much solid food she's eating in preparation for her transitioning from mostly bottles to solid foods starting next month. Honestly, I don't think we are going to have a problem here. She loves anything and everything, and I really haven't come across any food she won't eat. She definitely loves her carbs, but will eat squash and spinach with equal enthusiasm! We started her on rice cereal and other easy to digest purees around four and a half months hoping that it would help with her reflux, and I feel like that really helped her become such a good eater now! Speaking of Hadley at four months...here is Miss Hadley trying rice cereal for the first time...

I recently heard about this online bible study called She Reads Truth.  I'm not sure why I haven't heard about this until now, but I love it! They have so many different bible studies you can choose from that cover all different books of the bible. They are all different length studies so you can pick a study that is the length you want or one that covers the book of the Bible that you most want to focus on. I started with the Ephesians bible study because it was only a two week study, and I wanted to make sure this was something I would get a lot out of. The study did not disappoint. One of my goals this year is not just to read the Bible more often, but to really study God's word. She Reads Truth is great because it helps you dive deeper into His word without being too tedious or burdensome. If you're looking for a study to start with I will recommend the Ephesians study. Ephesians is such a joyful book that really speaks of God's power and His love for us, and I always find it really encouraging!

  3. I love the Curly Girl Designs products!! The gift shop at the hospital where I work, sells their items! Ephesians is a GREAT book to study!! That particular verse is one of my favorites and on my blog logo! Have a wonderful weekend!
