Y'all. I am dog tired. I think we have been on the go since we landed in Michigan, but it has been tons of fun! After the Tiger's game we have kept busy with seeing lots of Johnathon's friends, then we had Brad and Deanna's baby shower! It's no secret, babies make me very happy. Brad and Deanna are expecting the arrival of baby McClellan (a boy!) sometime in September, and we could not be happier. Unfortunately, this means Johnathon and I will be overseas for the arrival of our nephew/godchild so we were so excited that we could be there to celebrate his fast approaching arrival and his wonderful parents at the shower! I was so excited in fact, that I completely forgot my camera, which means until I get photos from someone else, you will just have to trust me when I tell you it was beautiful and baby McClellan has so many people that love him already!
The shower was on Sunday, and early Monday morning we packed up and headed out for our trip Up North to Petoskey, and Mackinac Island. Listen, I love car trips like the best of 'em, but a 7am start time, was a bit early for this girl. Even an Egg McMuffin, and a tall coffee couldn't get me bright eyed and bushy tailed! Fortunately I was in a car with people willing to play car games. Nothing passes the 4 hour drive time like 50 rounds of "I'm thinking of an animal..." If you ever find yourself playing this game here's a helpful hint: a beaver, or a cardinal are guaranteed to stump most anyone! Or maybe that's because Brad and Johnathon were asking such top notch questions such as "If I charge you, will you charge me back?" or "Are you bigger than a dung beetle, and smaller than an elephant?" Way to narrow it down boys.
Once we got to Petosky, we unpacked then went out to explore. We had lunch at a restaurant on the water then walked along the waterfront. Here are some pictures of our afternoon:

Johnathon was sure we needed to buy one of these :) I did not object! |

Just one of the beautiful hotels on the water |
After we checked out the waterfront, we walked around the town of Petoskey and played an intense game of putt putt golf. I managed to get 3 hole in one shots, and somehow Johanthon still managed to beat me by two. I should point out, the he was in charge of the score card. I have no proof, but I'm almost positive he was taking a stroke or 2 off of his score :)

The next day we went to Mackinac Island. I had so much fun there and took way too many pictures. I wanted to make this all one blog, but asking me to pick between pictures is like asking me to pick a book I love best (impossible), so I'm opting to do a whole separate blog on our trip to Mackinac coming soon!
